Biography

is an architect and OSINT researcher whose work explores how environments are transformed into tools of power. Pursuing his PhD at the Technical University of Delft, titled “Weaponized Environments,” his research uncovers the strategic manipulation of natural landscapes in modern warfare. Baydoun is developing a system that detects and visualizes these hidden dynamics, offering an alternative understanding of militarized spaces.

Brief Overview

WhitePhosphorus.info is an investigative project that geolocates, verifies, and maps incidents involving white phosphorus munitions in South Lebanon. Our methodology features precise geolocation of each incident, ensuring the data we provide is both accurate and reliable. We employ an approach that includes analyzing video footage, cross-referencing eyewitness accounts, and collaborating with experts in military technology and international law to validate each occurrence. Our project combines field research with data visualization techniques to expose the environmental and humanitarian consequences of white phosphorus usage. Through this comprehensive analysis, we aim to foster transparency and accountability in modern warfare.
